I wrote this down in my notebook on Saturday, 3/3/2018. The next day 8 mini-postcards were left in cafes around downtown Manhattan.
I’m still surprised on how little thought I gave to this idea, how I just started doing it without thinking why and how. The title, the design, the notes – they all came to life within 30 minutes.
The same day I created an Instagram account and started sharing these notes. At first it was just a picture with a few words to capture the thought. Now, almost 3 months into it, I write about what prompted the note of the day.
I have even created a YouTube channel where I share a little bit more on the background of the note or what exactly it means to me. At the moment the channel has only 2 videos, it’s a great way for me to practice speaking on camera, I still feel very self-conscious about that.
Today, 7/1/2018, this website is born.
