Today I want to share some wisdom from my therapist
Which she shared when wishing me a happy New Year.

She said she hoped that this year would be
The year
When I learn to really value myself
To acknowledge and honor my right to be,
My right to ask for things I want,
Value myself in various moments of my life,
When I’m being “the good girl”
And when I’m doing things which might be viewed as bad.
And value myself even when I’m screwing something up
Or when I’m feeling scared to do things.
To value myself in the moments when I start speaking up about what matters to me
And in the moments when I fall back to the old pattern.
And that’s what I want to wish you.
Value yourself.
You matter so much.
Without you, the world would be a totally different place.
